Sharskinz pics and install...

well here are some pics of what i got from sharkskinz. they messed up and gave me the one piece upper and one piece lower. this is a more race look definitely better than my original 4 piece setup.

the install wasn't that bad. i had to cut using the good 'ol dremel. when i tried to fit the upper, it wouldn't fit flush. i saw that the pieces next to the radiator were hitting, so i chopped an inch off that.

the lower is for a race bike i think, cause there is no way a bike with a stock exhaust could fit this on. it's for an extreme high mount i think. the whole rear of the lower had a rolled up look that totally looked sweet, but it wouldn't fit because it kept hitting my pip. so i cut a square section out and tried to keep the kickstand side.

HERE ARE TWO QUESTIONS:

my old lowers had a square section cut out on the bottom for the shock travel. this piece doesn't. i'm wondering if i should cut out a piece, because if i leave it and the shock it's the fairing, they'll prolly rip off the bike.

another one. the frame sliders would be located at the seam of where the two pieces come together. it shouldn't affect the strength of the connection right?

anyways, here are some pics..total install time about 1.5 hours. now that i have experience with this stuff, anyone can mesg me if you have ?s.

here's what the bike looks like now. i'm gonna wait on a front fender for a while. i'm gonna let them sit on the bike for maybe 2 days so they get used to the form. then i'll ship them out for paint....
