DeWitte owns the company (and it is a sham as far as structure goes) so he does not background himself.
Jeremy DeWitte carries a stun pistol in his law enforcement harness, not a firearm. But he still dances on the edge of legality. He isn't a security guard, he is a funeral escort service. So, because of his sexual felony he isn't, can't be, a real anything or another but that didn't slow him down.
However, there is one actual sheriff's deputy sergeant who has a hard-on for Jeremy. Multiple stops, multiple investigations, several arrests. If nothing else, Jeremy is going to have to sell off assets to pay his attorney. That means insurance is going to be impossible to buy and his fleet of Hondas are going to come on the market. ( Yay! YOU ROCK, SARGE!)
Life is tough for Jeremy's crew, too. Being paid as outside contractors they now have tax issues to deal with because the IRS got interested. Thats a meh for me. When you look at these guys you would think they are one step away from living under the interstate without benefit of tooth care.
