Running Dunlop Q4s in reverse direction?

I am heading up to Thunderhill this weekend and just noticed that the tire shop mounted my front tire backwards. Is it safe to run the tire like this in the dry or do I need get it remounted in the right direction before using?

Jose can remount if needed. Not sure if those are directional. Jose Flores will know.

I'll check with Jose for sure if needed, hoping I can get the shop that mounted them to fix it for me tomorrow so I don't have to mess with things at the track.

I heard of q3's delaminating when mounted backwards. it depends on the internal construction.

If the tech mounted it backwards, what else did he screw up...

Last time I ran a Dunlop front slick backwards, it provided very weird feedback and vibrated the bike. The feedback was probably from being backwards. The vibration was probably from the tech doing a shitty job balancing. Flipping it correctly and making sure he balanced well fixed all the issues.

Called the shop when they opened this morning and they had me come in and get it fixed first thing. Crisis averted!

@stangmx13 just discovered your podcast, wish I had known about it for the rest of the season!

I have had multiple people tell me at track days to flip the tire to get more life out of them because most tracks are one side heavy.
