Route suggestions for an out and back to 49

Planning an overnighter to hit 49 and anything good around there while I'm nearby. We might camp, we might just find a cheap motel, we might stay in Virgnia City / Reno, tbd. I've got some tentative ideas but figure folks on here might have better ideas. Fall colors would be a plus, not scared of a little dirt if needed to connect good riding.

Eh, I wasn't sure how far south it was, crap.

For travel anywhere, check the fire and smoke maps before planning your route.

Yeah, looks like some level of smoke will be mostly unavoidable. This route looks possible, though close to a few burns, seems like we'd be able route around as needed though. Of course, who knows what'll happen by next weekend.

That 2nd route isn't so bad. 88 into Hope Valley will have fall colors, and I'd go 89 over monitor loop down 395 to 108, etc. back.
