Nope, she's gotta work the whole 4 hours at the bank on sat. But she'll be at the suspension set up. So do you wanna do Alices, or some other road?? Anyone else up for the ride this sat before the meet????????

I was considering a ride over Mt Hamilton since it's "sort of" on the way :laughing

I could do Alice's too. We should meet earlier than I normally go out or I'm going to end up wearing the new leathers to the meet - which, quite frankly, would be very weird. :toothless

I would say go along the coast. From Fremont, go 17 to Santa Cruz and take highway 1. Its longer than the normal 101 out there, well now that I think of it, I've taken both and they're both pretty boring. Atleast if you go the highway 1 way you'll go 17 through the Santa Cruz mountains. Good Luck

If you have a good passenger than its a piece of cake. You gotta let her know that all she can/should move is her head. She has to act like a statue, especially when you are leaning. Tell her to just sit, relax, and don't be doing no gymnastics on the back. Good Luck, and hope you can make it out with us, it isn't gonna be anything major, just mild twisties...............Redwood road has more twisties..........well one immediately after another........Alices are kinda spread out. But then again I dont know about 9 though, never been there.

You'll see 9 this weekend, Instance!

Mag(etc)... would you mind posting the pronunciation of your name one of these days? :D

As for the two-up, make sure you tell your passenger that not only is it OKAY to move his/her head, it's actually a really good idea to have them ALWAYS move their head to the side your turning. This has two benefits. First, the person will unknowingly help you in balancing. Second, they will have a clearer view of where they're going.

I always tell a passenger the rules before letting them ride. First and foremost: wave to other motorcyclists! Second, put your arms around me and you will automatically be in the right position. Third, move your helmet to the side we're turning.

The one thing that took me a while to get used to was when the passenger puts their hands on the tank when I'm braking. It's a benefit in that it keeps the weight off you if you're braking hard, but that would be a violation of the only rule YOU have to follow...

Make the ride as enjoyable as possible for your passenger. Do not scare them into not wanting to ride w/ you again.
