I have a 2007 triumph speed triple and I am looking to replace my seat what should I get a Corbin. Or a Sargent ?

I had a corbin on my Harley,it looked good and was a little better than what was on it. I just got a Seth laam custom seat done Friday for my fj09 and its the best seat I have ever sat on. Only have 125 miles on it, but normally my tail bone hurts with in 15 minutes of riding. I rode for two and a half hrs and never even thought about my tail bone. Just giving you another option.

I have a corbin on my r1200r and a sargent on my fz09. I had a sargent and a corbin on my fz1. I hated the corbin but the guy I sold it to loves it.
If you have butt that fits a corbin itseems to be a great seat.

I had a Corbin on my KLR650 and I hated it, it was so hard. I went to a sargeant and I like it much better. Might be different for your bike though. I noticed the Corbin was heavier also. My DR650 has a Sargeant also and I love it.

The whole seat thing is very individual. My butt hates Corbin and loves Sergeant, but it's backwards for others.
If there's any way to try out a friend's seat, go for it; otherwise, try to buy used, because you might have to turn around and sell it. Keep an eye on the 675 forums and ADVRider forums.

That's a common complaint with Sargent seats, the ridge transition from the seating surface to the sides is quite sharp whereas the Corbins a rounded.
The Corbin allows you to slide off center and down slightly if that is your style where the Sargent makes that almost impossible without getting a wedgie.
If your butt is broad, Sargent. If you ride straight roads often, Sargent.
I have both a Sargent and a Corbin for all my bikes and swap them depending on the nature of the ride. Not everyone can do that but as many have said, there is so much personal taste in seats, rarely can one do it all perfectly.

I used to be a big Corbin fan but the last 2 were just too hard. I then tried Saddleman with the tail bone relief channel. They quickly became my last 2 seat purchases. Very comfy and the channel is awesome for my bony butt, it even provides a bit of crack ventilation. Even better for hanging off, I lock in nicely.

Im on my 4th Sargent seat, and even though the company has grown a lot in the 20 plus years since I got my first, their quality is second to none, and if you need a do over, no one there cops a attitude, they are eager to make it right
Corbin is more local, but their seats are generally hard as a rock, and made for one specific butt. If it isn't your butt then it might be difficult to get comfy on it.
Verdict?

I just picked up a cruiser with a corbin on it; it is HARD!
The previous owner did not have a problem with it. Maybe he has a bigger butt? I'll be swapping over the stock seat, and maybe try the Sargent in the future.
