Rented this DVD from Netflix the other day & loved it. Those who've been around awhile know Irishman Joey Dunlop was "The King of the Roads" at the IOMTT, & dominated all the Irish roadrace's throughout his career. Lots of both behind the scene's details & racing action, I flat loved it!

The hardest part was understanding Joey's heavy Irish accent, but the documentary was a tribute to his life/racing career. A bit sad @ the end w/his death documented, but otherwise great! I highly recommend...:thumbup

A tribute to motorcycle legend Joey Dunlop, it tells the great man's story from his early days with the Armoy Armada through to his record-breaking wins at the Isle of Man. Includes tributes from Barry Sheene and Carl Fogarty as well as archive interviews with Dunlop himself.

Not as fast as I look.
Are there good racing POV shots? I love to pucker my behind while sitting on the couch when I watch the IOMTT from the seat of a liter bike. Especially when the front starts wagging all over the place as they scream by a building at a buck-twenty-five. Oh, yeah. :laughing

Yes, sure is. One section where he comments while viewing the film. Several entire laps put together. Pretty sure it's old 16mm camera technology; realize this was in the 1990's for most of it. No "GoPro's" back then...

His fastest lap was 123.xx mph; about 10mph down from today's top level superbikes/riders. Riders/tires/bikes have come a long way since then; still great footage; commentary...= "watch out for this wall here, just clip the curb there:wow, big dip here, shoulder clibs the bush here!"....it's pretty frightening.

$7.99 download stream from Netflix, or rent the DVD's as I do from them (the old fashioned way) for $8.99 a month (~3/4 per week.)
