they made great drag cars

If you drop a 302 in it a different car it is indeed.

Ride Again!
Hah, ya this was a total sleeper, stock size tires and original looking hubcaps! I have to admit it looked really clean. I didn't really understand the racing number scheme, not quite SCCA. Maybe he has mounted road slicks in his garage. Maybe those are all self adhesive upgrades. It actually looks like a '72, not that I would know off hand, I googled it.

Helped a buddy drop a 327 into his Vega. Didn't take long before we twisted the body.

Re Tired Not Dead
Got a ride in a ShoGun one crazy evening. (Festiva with an SHO Taurus Yamaha V6 stuffed in the former back-seat area). HoLeeFuk was about all I could manage to squeek out. I've driven a lot of very fast cars. A lot. The ShoGun was terrifyingly quick because it was so damn short wheel-based that if you just 'thought' about a direction change...poof...you'd made it.

Having grown to adulthood during the late '60s muscle car heyday - a 72 Pinto wouldn't normally be at the top of the 'hey! Cool car!' heap. But yes, with a 5.0 or other interesting 200ish HP swap, yeah. It'd be cool.
