I'll work on that!

I wanted one, but ended up with a much cheaper Corolla for my commuter. I still think the shifter location is just odd and fugly.

Yes, sure it is fugly but probably someone calculated, that that's the optimal location for someone's hand, or, they didn't have space in the center well/tunnel location of the car.

Additionally, some minivans/delivery vans have it exactly there...

None of that matters to me anymore, jumped the shark for this car... but hmm, now that I think of it maybe the stick location was a no-go for me, too :laughing

We already have a general thread and a what are you thinking about thread, what's the unique factor of this one?

I never quite got what that other thread was for anyway, tbh. I thot it was kind of an in joke for certain people.

If the other two are allowed to exist I think we have room for this this one also.

Should have replaced the word "Thought" in the title with "Topics" to avoid thread title copyright infringement :nerd

Getting on with it, I saw a video the other day of scientists playing around with a demon core. Even at that level of risk they were being complacent and careless. Cost two scientists their lives.

Fish doesn't belong on Pizza.

Fish
Barbecued or smoked meat
Pineapple
any kind of chicken

And yet, there is this Desi pizza joint that puts all kinds of stuff on pizza. Something like Chicago Pizza with a Twist or something.

They do all of these things. I have to actually open my mind...sigh....

Friends is not a good sitcom.

Never made it through more than five minutes of that joint. Steinfeld, either.

Actually, K, you might have to start a jumping the shark thread, ha. I had to have that term explained to me when I said the Beatles were over-rated. Ha.

Steinfeld had talented characters. I didn't get what Friends was about. It was just irritating. I couldn't change the channel fast enough when it came on.

I kept thinking: this is embarassment laughter level comedy. People laugh nervously but aren't quite sure why its funny.

You are right about Steinfeld. I think Julia Louis Dreyfus in Veep was masterful. If the earlier show was the incubator, I'm glad for it.

Friends was all about what somebody thought somebody else actually lived like. And wanted to be one of.

:laughing I'm just trying to be a shit disturber in this random thought thread. Friends does suck though, and Seinfeld as well as you mentioned.

Another. People say SNL was better in the earliest days with Chevy Chase, bla-bla-bla.

They are full of shit. The show has had ups and downs but many spectacularly good casts and runs between the beginning and now.

Having Eddie Murphy, Dana Carvey, Mike Myers, Phil Hartman, Chris Rock, Chris Farley, Amy Poehler, Tina Fey, etc etc etc over the years proves that. they had actors I truly miss, like Cheri Oteri who did not go on to be big stars but were really good.

And people don't talk about MadTV and SCTV nearly enough.

These are a lot of years I remember.

Tim Meadows and Tracy Morgan's recurring characters as The Ladies Man and Brian Fellows were some of my favorites.

Speaking of MadTV and SCTV, don't forget to add In Living Color to that list.

The Ladies Man. Oh yeah............Ya know, Andre Iguodala had the lisp....I always thought of the Ladies Man when he had the post-game interviews. Kind of a weirdly inconvenient distraction!
