q cafe is having sportbike night tonight . just a friendly reminder in case you all wanted to show up at this fine dining establishment this evening for some sportbike fun and words of wisdom from doc harry wong.

....its on alma street, accross from the train station , has the waitresses with the big _____s... ok, sorry, ill get a hold of myself..

man, i dont know how they do it, the state got me for 13.00 this year and i have no idea how they calculate it. i did my taxes but the way i file, nothing coming back really. that just means take off tires for the next few months and cheap gas for the tlr.....

I'll be at a client's outlining future employment (read: consulting). Got the ball rolling nice and early, but will cost my attendance at tonight's meet. If I get out early enough I'll definitely swing by, but I'll be caging. (shame)

I'm definitely heading out, but in the car. Didn't take the bike to work today due to high winds and a fear of getting run over on 280. (Damn newbies...buncha chicken-sh!ts!)

Wasn't that bad on 280. I mean, you've got 8 feet of lane to wonder around it. Stick to the center - gust of wind - you're in the right part of the lane. Get back to the center - another gust of wind - you're in the left of the lane.

hey sabrina,

the q cafe is at 529 alma street in palo alto. the sportbike night starts at 5pm and goes on til pretty much when people clear out. there will be small raffle prizes and guest speaker doc wong, possibly a afm racer and moto italiano will be there with some bikes and other vendors as well.

i will be heading there at 530 or so and see you all there. for those coming from the east bay, take 880 south, exit 92 and head west to san mateo

from there

101 southbound
exit university
go west after you exit, (under overpass and left turn)
head university west
left at emerson
right on hamilton
right on alma

the q is right next to that corner on the right , you will see bikes.

ill be there on my tlr and hog some spaces for you all: )

I was out yesterday evening and the 101 was nasty! Of course, I'm in Pacifica where it's always windy and cold. Fog is my friend. We'll see what happens tomorrow.

No doubt -- you've got to be friends with the fog, or else it will drive you nuts! The nice thing about being in Pacifica is, if you REALLY need to get some sun, there's ususally plenty of it just five minutes over Sharp Park Road.

Well, according to this thread Sportbike Night was to start at 5:00. I had to be somewhere around 6:15 so I got there at 5:15. Sign at the door said it starts at 6:00. I had to leave before anyone showed. But I did see 4 bikes coming up University as I was leaving. Anyone see a Red/White/Blue Interceptor waive at them?

Had a good time. Bumped into Pat from the April 7 BARF ride.

Lots of bikes as usual. The raffle prize was a free track day at Buttonwillow. Don't know who won since I had to leave early.

I had a great time ,I hope next month we get some more BARF folks there.Good food ,cheep beer ,cool race videos and door prizes including a track day.See you all there next month.
