We went and got family photos taken. Here's one of the boys. This was less than 12 hours after Jeffrey came home from hunting training. Getting both of them to sit still and behave was a challenge, since they were both getting used to each other again.

I swear, he has a perfectly good bed and crate, he even uses them sometimes.

It’s a learning curve for everyone. I’ve found it’s better to have two toys to keep the peace. We will work on honoring but for now I’m just focused on them behaving in public. So far they’re both doing well off-leash. Jeffrey did pick up a softball that got hit toward us but in his defense it was bright green like a tennis ball.

Also we learned that we should from now on skip the water fountain before leaving. Jeffrey deposited what seemed like a quart of slime and grass riiiight between the awesome new seat covers I just put in. Got it on both covers and plenty below.

Overall it was a great trip to the park.

Finally had some action on a duck hunt. Gomer did great for his first time.

Ooops. Not his first time hunting. Just our first time hunting ducks when there were any ducks around. The last times were just long quiet days in the blind.

I turned the dog beds into a podium and they chose their own places, but they're all winners in my book.

Gomer and Jeffrey caught snuggling after a rough day. We had to take Gomer (left) to the emergency vet after a scary mid-air collision at the park. They were going after the same ball and Jeffrey torpedoed him at full speed and Gomer did not want to move at first and was walking with a terrible limp. By the time the vet actually saw him he was about back to normal.
