Mini ride from 1/18/09, ending at Alice's. Here's the original thread: Sunday 18th Group Ride Anyone?
Early in the morning, I had breakfast at the Mini Gourmet.

From there, rode through Portola Valley and Woodside to meet up with Brad and Greg at the corner of 92/35.

Awesome! Thanks for posting and sharing the ride pix.

If I may ask, please edit your post and include the link to the original thread. Also, would be cool to add the video links as well. ;)

Looking forward to the next ride......Mt Hammi?

Thanks Neal :) fwiw, the original thread will eventually get lost in the shuffle of others. Having the 'key' pix and footage here will inspire those whom are lurking and or wish to join us on rides.

Any Regard, I am really impressed with Joe's KSR. That thing seems to stick like glue considering the type of tires he's got on there. :shocker

Not sure Joe will ever post up much about the bike but ive been on the phone and email with him a lot lately and hes got something crazy in the works for a all out mini. He picked up another KSR 80 and has a 100cc bore kit on order. We have been discussing some other possible upgrades for brakes and suspension. Knowing how quick he is on the 80 im betting i wont have a chance at keeping up when hes on a 100cc Two stoke KSR with proper suspension and brakes.

A small view over looking Mt Hamilton and The Valley

The view was spectacular and we could see from from far So. San Jose to North as the eye can see (SF). Mt. Hamilton was a blast! Fortunately, the light dusting of gravel we experienced was 'visable' on the way up to allow us for a safe passage. However, on the back side, we experienced more dusting of dark colored :wtf gravel :wow But once passed those areas, it was smooth sailing and wide open divided lanes :thumbup

A stop for lunch at The Junction (Mines Rd/Del Puerto)

Great food with great company :teeth

A final stop at Starbucks in Livermore (Vasco Rd), before heading home

Mark departed us at Niles Canyon. Unfortunately, Neal experienced a fuel delivery issue not long after starting up through Calaveras Rd. Thankfully, his wife was home and was able to pick him up. Otherwise, I was his back-up (truck w/ moto tote ;) ). I parted Neal and JJ and continued through Calaveras to home.

Thanks for suggesting the route guys (Neal & Mark)! I had a great time and with great people. Looking forward to our next venture :ride

A Mini Ride up to Mt. Hamilton

Tried to rally up the mini guys for a ride up through Calaveras and Mt Hamilton. It was a bit of late notice.....sorry guys. Mark was the only one available.

Initially I was going to take the CBR but ran into some bike issues.....never made it out of Milpitas to the meet spot (Mission Blvd/Niles Canyon). I got a hold of Mark and told me to fire up the NSR and meet him at the *$ near Calaveras/680.

We went straight for Mt Hamilton and to my surprise, the NSR faired well and had a fun ride :)

Made a short stop to hydrate ourselves, being it was pretty dang hot out today

Soon enough, we made it to the Observatory :)

Surprisingly, it was a lot hotter at base level of San Ho vs at the Observatory.

Thanks for joining me today, Mark and glad you made it home safely :)

Till the next meet :ride
