Hit Stony up for the Memorial Day weekend. Got 2 days of riding and 1 day of flying. Posting this here as I was a passenger :D. The dirt road is ~2 miles. Total ab workout carrying the pack and trying to keep it centered.

Flight was 20 minutes. Hit 5000' immediately off launch, then headed to camp to appease the wife. Landed 20' from my trailer.

Happy to see this thread revived. I am planning on doing training in January or February near Cabo San Lucas.
I met the owner while out shopping. Cool guy who says what was previously stated, that instruuction includes whatever time it takes. $2200 all inclusive.

Start my training Friday.
Had the instructor take my wife around on a quad ride last week and they circled over a whale and her calf for about 20 minutes. Unexpectedly, she loved it.
Not enough to learn to fly though.

Well, while practicing the basic concept of “kiting” I am learning that it requires a fair bit of both lateral and reverse stepping, both of which I am all but incapable of. Either I find a way to do this or apparently I have blown $2200 on a bite more than I can chew.

Give it some time, the first few goes at kiting feel incredibly awkward. With a bit of practice you will find it takes some mobility, but not a huge amount. I know people who fly in wheelchairs.

Can I ask where? This has sparked my interest and I want to try it out. Thanks

Two guys in my class came down from the States to train. Staying in town and one is even staying at airbnb in same complex as instructor so transporting is a breeze.
We have been to five different locations so far. Because of our geographic location we can pick and choose based on wind and what we are practicing.
Price is similar to US at $2200usd.
No class length. As long as it takes....thankfully.
