OHV Registration for my fitty

wannabe

"Insignificant Other"
I just got my OHV registration and sticker in the mail for my XR fitty. I think I already know the answer to this one, but I just wanted to verify.

I only bought the fitty to use as a pit bike at the dragstrip. Do I actually have to put the ugly green sticker on the bike if I don't plan to take it off road?

I think that since it's a vehicle in cali it needs proof of registration. So you need to put it on to be legal. I have the green sticker on the crf on the fork tube and you can't see it unless you look. As for a cop stopping you and asking to see your green sticker on your fiddy...I don't see that happening

No you don't. Green Sticker IS NOT used as proof of registration, only to gain entry into an OHV park. Your proof of registration is the DMV printout, which is what you should carry in your truck.

I have no stickers on my bikes.(except for the KX which Ray had the sticker on).....haven't been asked yet, and I'm in State OHV parks damn near every weekend.

I'm gonna start carrying them though, just in case, especially for the summer months.

FYI, I got a buddy that cut a piece of PVC to "pop" onto his fork leg which he can remove at will, and he put the sticker on it.?

Cops never seem to ask about registration, paperwork or anything. They just yell and tell you all the things they can write you up tickets for.

The green sticker is your "off road licence" its your licence plate. If your stopped by the Police, a Park Ranger etc. thats what they will run. I had a friend have his dirt bike impounded because it didnt have off road registration sticker(green sticker). Granted we were on state property in Half Moon Bay where I grew up. Ok, ok, we were racing up and down the beach:laughing But it happened.
