Newbie wants to tag along

Hi BARF,

Newbie from Napa here who just decided he wants to get into track days. I had a blast at Sonoma with Z2 yesterday and I’m looking for anyone who would like company/gas covered in exchange for picking me up for track days next season. Please let me know if you’re interested and how I can help.

Best,

Harley

FWIW, people may be skeptical to carpool with COVID. As someone who just got into track riding this past season, I'd look into renting pickups on Turo or from a standard car rental like Hertz or Enterprise. Get yourself some ramps and ratchet straps on Amazon and you can easily load/unload a bike by yourself.

i would say its hard to catch a ride up there. just the matching of schedules, departure times and that can be a hassel. if you have a car i would look into getting a hitch installed. i've seen all sorts of cars tow a single bike trailer. or just rent a a van. most bikes will fit in the back. my buddy throws his duc into his honda odessy. welcome to the sport

Thank you for the suggestions. I like the van idea. I saw U-Haul pricing and the cost per mile made me cringe. I guess it is rentals for now until I have more reliable transport available

Ride up and stay at a hotel. might be cheaper than renting a truck. eventually you'll make new friends and your options will expand. that ride back home though will be brutal.
