Hi everyone!

I have known about BARF and occasionally lurked the forums for a while now, finally decided to join in. I am an SF resident and jealously watched the group ride that met up at Crissy Fields ride by my bar on Fridays. I'm currently (was at this point due to covid) bartending while pursuing a career as a Firefighter and have been riding for about 6 years.

I started on a Honda Rebel, upgraded to a Honda Shadow after about a year, then moved on to a 2007 KTM Super Duke 990, which I currently ride and have had a for about 3 years.

I'm hoping to be able to learn a lot from you guys through forums and in person and am extremely excited to start joining group rides! I have a few friends who ride here, but looking forward to making new friends to ride with.

Hope to see you guys soon!

Thanks for the welcome guys! And @butch it depends what you're looking for, there's so many great options. One personal favorite is Butter- its a dive bar so not sure if that's up your alley, but if so I highly recommend it.

Butter was a local SF BARF hot spot for a long time.... So is Benders.

My personal favorite was Glen Park right across the street from the BART station. Probably cause it was walking distance and a dive bar. I dont have very high standards :p

I suppose I jest. I am no longer allowed out long. I have to be home by bedtime, say, 8:30 or so. Being old has certain blessings. Yeah, curses too.

I prefer dive bars. The darker the place, the older the bartender the better :laughing huge plus if theres a shit ton of knick knacks on the walls
