Im pretty sure history shows that CA wont support more than 3 club series. But let them try. Theyll probably still be good for the sport if they can convince a few dozen trackday riders to finally grid up.

I love racing at BW, but not enough to race their monthly. And I really think the new track is going to be nothing to write home about. 2nd and 3rd gear corners with short straights gets old quick.

I havnt seen the layout of the new track, do you have some info on it? Maybe all the racers that are tired of flip flopping Chuckwalla will show up. The GT races alone will be worth it, IMO.

Sonoma is not that much better and people love it. On 1000 all corners are 1st or 2nd gear :)

Bull. What about 5, 6, 8, & 10...

Even so, Sonoma isn’t all 60-120deg and there’s huge variety. Hard braking, soft braking, corners that are all drive, etc. I will be shocked if this small BW has half that.

Some people love the small Thunderhill. That doesn’t mean it’s a good racetrack :laughing.

I never got higher than 3rd gear on gsxr1k.
I did not say anything about good or bad :)
New B-willow looks like Vegas without straight.

Ya'll over here complaining about West Coast tracks, I moved back to Texas and my local Houston track has what they call "the launch" and everyone makes a big fuss about it and it's literally a 10' mound of dirt. FML.

What I would give to ride BW/Thill again.

Maybe go to COTA?

The article spectacularly leaves out the WHO of CRA. Whose money, talent, org skills, racing experience, etc...? As does the CRA (non-)website.

Honestly, it would be awesome to have a decent club series that would attract Socal and NorCal racers. The amazingness (or lack thereof) of the track is fairly secondary if the level of competition is high.

I heard someone talking recently that they will also be looking to see if there is a safe way to combine both tracks at Buttonwillow. I think CRA is a good thing. There are some that don't like the AFM I've heard and maybe that's the low turnout for Buttonwillow. Anything that gives us all another chance to race is exciting. We all have different work and family life schedules and cant always make every round.

I like the passion Dustin brings and think he will do good with the Racing Org. I also like the fact that they're already finalizing their race schedule so we have plenty of time to plan for those race dates
