Might as well start it up so here we go.

On the radio this am, I heard that ESPN is rating the Dubs as 14th in the West this year. Oh my. Unless Curry gets hurt yet again, this should be a fun refutation.

I am excited to see Paschall again. I really thought he showed a lot last year. Jordan Poole, too. Both were played way too hard last year because of injuries. This year, they can do some minutes without all the expectations. Really looking forward to see the team play, if it even happens, given COVID's annoying impact.

First night is Dec. 22 with a juicy doubleheader.

Dubs vs Knicks giving us the first time seeing KD & Steph back in action in a long time.

Follow by Lakers vs Clippers, which we expected to see in the playoffs, and then... didn't.

KD is on Nets, tho. Is that what you mean? Understandable. Two New York teams who have done NOTHING for a long while.

I actually want to see KD play. I have mixed emotion. I love the guy for sacrificing everything to play but I just don't understand what ate him so much about being out here. I know, Draymond, but....

And, at the heart of it, not everybody loves here, period. I have a friend from DC who is just better off living back there even though he's been back and forth a few times. I wish KD was on the Wizards, then he'd really be home. But I think Brooklyn is popular with the young people......If you're a young guy on top of the world, and with all the money, why not enjoy everything about NYC, including the borough hipster bit.

Rolls with it...
DC traded John Wall to Houston for Westbrook, I'm sure that wouldn't have happened if KD was there. :laughing

I am patient about the slaughter last night. From what I can tell, Nets are a super-team in the making, the Dubs are still playing practice games. Without Draymond, there just wasn't much fire but the momentum can't depend on him alone. I loved what I saw from Wiseman. He was the only guy on that floor that could hamper KD in fact.

KD looks as great as ever. Shooting baskets just seems effortless for that guy and his build remains: you can barely guard the guy without fouling him unless you are also very tall and/or kinda spindly and careful.

I know there will be better times ahead so I ain't losing my shit over that game.

Gotta accept the Warriors are nowhere near being an elite team. They'll be mid pack good, but not elite...

Catch Barkley's post game interview with Durant? Hilarious!

Is Oubre French for can’t hit shit?

Lordy. Yet another debacle. There were a few glints of hope here and there....

It was like watching Dumb and Dumber for awhile there.

I was watching footage from other sest of teams last night on wrap-up shows. I think that in general, other NBA teams are not in condition yet as well especially if they were in the cellar last year as well. Chicago is trying to up their game. Their shooting was decent but kind of too reliant on the one guy (LaVine). They have decent players but they just aren't ready either.

If and when Draymond gets back, I predict he'll start feeding lobs to Looney and Wiseman and shut some mouths . That Wiseman is something else. Barring injury, I think the sky's the limit with him. He's great under the iron but already shows shooting talent from backcourt.

The Dubs just have too many new players to make their style click but it will come. Even though I was making fun of Oubre, that long-armed freak can block and steal better than normal guys of his perceived stature. Take a close look at his arms tomorrow. He's lively too, not laid back at all.

The injury to Chriss is heartbreaking. Or leg breaking whatever. I really liked that guy, he was a bright spot in last year's dismal show.

Oh and PS: Just last week the radio klowns were talking about cutting Damion Lee....right. He's been a lively player from the bench for a while now, not greatly but timely productive offensively.
