Taze away, Yana...
I just looked at the weather, and it's going to be HOT. Start drinking more water then you're used to. You'll thank me later.

Anyone have any last minute questions? Everyone figured out transport, gear, and all the basics?

Last year Mike (your head instructor) made a great layout. We will be pitted in area #4 at the first canopy as you enter the track. I'll be there Friday around 5:30-6pm to get setup.

107 degrees on Saturday! Sounds just like the noob weekend last year. (did we hit 110?)

Pedialite and icy towls to wrap around your neck after each session are a lifesaver. Have fun yall. Sorry to have to miss this year!

I've been out of the loop for a while due to work and travel: anyone leaving Friday and coming back Saturday and have a spot for me and my bike? Obviously will split the cost. I know that's a big ask this late but figured I might as well. I'm based in SF but honestly I can meet anywhere.

Definitely going to be warm this weekend but not as hot as last year. Bring twice as much water as you think you need and then double it again. We always recommend large containers of water with reusable cups so we can limit waste. Salty snacks too and/or electrolyte tabs or similar.

Because of World Suberbike at Laguna, we unfortunately won't have a suspension tuner this weekend. Sorry about that. I'll be sending out an event email in a day or two. Looking forward to seeing the noobs!

115° last year. That was dang hot. This one will be a bit better and it looks like their will be a breeze.

Can anyone help out Robert? Do you have a contingency plan? Maybe you can stash some gear in someone's transport and ride up, camp Saturday night before you head home refreshed in the morning? Bassem, do you have room for gear? Edit to add I can also bug Larissa to use her flatbed truck. Shouldn't be an issue if she's not using it.

hey! I remember making that, how bout that #7?!? still makes me laugh

I'll have a bottle of salt tablets up front on the table available for you along with gummy bears in the riders meeting/s (yes, plural, yes, mandatory) and classroom sessions (teaching you how to get around he track correctly) to get some salt into your systems.

I'll be working with David to get that email out to everyone "real soon now", can't wait to meet all of this years n00bs and see past n00b alumni again.

I can carry gear, but unfortunately not an extra bike.

Definitely worst comes to worst I can ride up there Friday and ride down Sunday! I appreciate all the help, especially since I mentioned this so late; I'm asking some people right now so I'll ask one of you if you can potentially carry gear by tomorrow night.

I also wanted to clarify: when you guys say camping, is it straight up bringing a sleeping bag and sleeping on the ground in the area? I'm totally ok with that, just clarifying.

correct last year we had some guys bring tents , some sleep in cars, and one ride up on his bike and pull a tent out of his backpack

I make words too.
I will be bringing an extra set of A* boots size 10.5.

I will be pitted under the giant Oxymoron Photography tent, getting there Friday night.

I also might know where the pants are to a 42 US jacket, also A*, and yes, it is a full zip 2-piece.

For taping up lights, does blue painters tape usually work? Also, do we need to take up signal lights or are those ok to leave uncovered?

Just tape up the brake lights. Basically, nobody should know you're on the brakes.

No need to tape the headlights. Forget the turn signals.

The only time you have to tape headlights is if they are glass. If it's easier you can just unplug the tail light. You will have to tape mirrors if you don't remove them.

blue painters tape isn't great tbh, the tape is thin and leaks light. If you gotta then ok, but #1 solution is to disconnect the tail light from the harness, #2 duct tape, #3 blue tape
