Really awesome build. I might have to take some design cues from it to build my old Yamaha Enduro. Thanks for posting up!:thumbup

I put Ducati stickers on mine, love faking people out. Plus I like to ride it like a Duc :party

Great job :thumbup

I don't know why, but seeing your uncle puts a smile on my face. Possibly that New Idria ride trying to let him know his bungee chord was dangling for 25 miles until it caught in his wheel and shot out hahaha. That is one hell of a ninjette Mike, good stuffs!

What did you do about the fairing mounting holes in the tank? Fill them in, sand them out, other?

both, I used a cutting disk to cut off the external part of the mounts (lower ones too), then filled it in with JB weld, then several applications of bondo until that section was "normal" looking. It's no where near perfect but it gets the job done.

No it looks great, I may have to do something similar.
Thanks!

Do more, bitch less.
I'm going to go ahead and revive this because it is so freaking awesome.

Which exact fiberglass tail was it? There are too many options... halp. I want to convince my significant otter to embark on a project like this.

I stumbled across this thread today and it just so happens I picked up a 92 ninja 250 off of the barf classifieds last week. It was on it's way to being a psuedo adventure bike but after seeing this it's going to go in a new direction!! I reached out to Mortifier via email and he graciously offered to answer any questions I have. Thank You!!

I'll start a new build thread for it shortly. It has lived its life as a race bike and although I have most parts to get it street legal has never been plated. Hopefully the DMV plays nice.

I'm thinking that I'll need to get it looking like a half assed street legal ninja before taking it down the full blown cafe road.

Thanks again Mike!!
