Of the remaining championship contenders, four (Mir, Morbidelli, Dovi and Viñales) have won world championships before. Winning any championships at the world level is a nerve-wracking exercise. I would think those that have been in this position before have an edge on the mental game needed for the next three races.
Well played.

Good venue for the beginning of a Mir hat trick

Whatever that means
Last two races flat track at vr46 ranch

Ya know having a few exhibition races at the end of the season of the riders racing supermoto or on minis or some other random crap would be fun. like when dani and marquez "raced" the scooters, or marquez at the super prestigio thing.

I am rooting for Suzuki to win. It will be a great story.

I hope Mir wins but you can clearly see during media briefs that he is not enjoying life. The pressure is getting to him. I hope I am wrong.

I think all the top dudes are in their element.
Stuff of dreams. Some feel the pressure. Probably Dovi the most. The others have a ride next year and Mir and Fabio haves years left in their careers. Mav too.

They have been pressured since they were 14. They will deal and shit will shake out. A pressure moment fail is possible. Not expecting one.... wait did Fabio already have some?? :p

Love MotoGP 2020.

Mir withOUT at least one race win would be quite odd and I’m sure that, with MM out, the truncated season, and no wins, people would be throwing out the * all day long. That would be a shame.

I’m still hoping for Dovi followed by Morbid or Fabio. Mav ans Mir are probably my next preferred champs.

I think a GP champ without a win is pretty remarkable! I hope Mir does it without a race win.

Update on Quartararo's tear off that found its way into Jack Miller's airbox at Misano. Miller (and presumably Pramac Racing) donated the tear off to an auction for TwoWheelsForLife which provides motorcycles for distributing medicine to remote areas of Africa. The winning bid was $5,500.

It would mean:

He was never the fastest

Someone was always faster

He never won

There was always someone better

He never got it done

Racers want to win. They want the ship, but they want to get their having won. He said it himself. I get that consistency is badass and cool, but to win the ship and still have the goal of winning your first ever premier class race...seems unsatisfying.

I agree, but I would take it to have a Daduki get a championship again. They have had a good year....plus their livery is so sexy.

As a fan, I think it’s waaaay cooler trivia in 20 years. If we can’t watch the greatest rider on earth in MM93, we might as well get as weird as possible.

Plus the symmetry of Suzuki’s last championship being 2000 with KRJR, seems cool. I’m tired of watching Honda, Yamaha, and Ducati win. A KTM race win and a Suzuki championship would be tits.

Kawi is too busy being kings of the minor leagues. they've won wsbk like 6 years in a row. why move to motogp and be a backmarker? It'd be instant humility and they dont want that.
