I just sent this to my local representatives:

There is an event at my favorite park tomorrow.

I have spoken at length for many years about how dirtbikes contribute to society.
Yeah, they’re fun, but they teach all sorts of physical skills too, which makes folks more healthy. Then there is the transportation benefit of motorcycles, which is a whole another subject altogether.
I think families are key to this sport. I think women are are backbone of families. Usually.

Dirtastic is hosting an event at the Santa Clara County Motorcycle County Park (Metcalf) exclusively for women.

Our park is beautiful. Many, er, most, have little idea what it is and what our sport is about.

I think our elected representatives need to understand this portion of their demographic. This is a particularly great time to see the park, what it has to offer and the folks who use it.

It would be awesome for you or some staff member could check it out and get to know this demographic that rides motorcycles.

Sorry, short notice. I just thought of the benefits of this to all of us.
This is so good for so many to know about this park and this sport, and you guys to share.

Thank you for listening. Courtesy of reply would be cool, but there is the beerflu thing.

Friday and yesterday were dry so that should have been cool. Today maybe they will let them use the MX track, trail 1 and the training areas.

Soils policy requires we stay away from the creeks. Or something.
Maybe they will have some pics.

My only issue with this supposed "women's" event is that instead of hiring a qualified female instructor they went with Brian. Additionally the $150 cost to simply camp without instruction seems off putting.
Babes in the Dirt was far more affordable but again, overlooked the many qualified female instructors to go with Brian.
I know Brian offers a solid course and his intro courses are solid but don't bill this as a women only event and not at least have female instructors.

Just my :2cents

Isn't this a moot point now??

Yes; however I have been holding off saying anything derogatory since these are my opinions. Now that the event is canceled, I felt it was important to state this.
A lot of providers are profiting with "women's" events, it seems the least they can do is hire female instructers like many of the track day providers do, to spearhead the instruction.
