M/C Volunteer Group Terminated - Sequoia National Park

The Forest Manager of Sequoia Forest Service has terminated the use of a volunteer trail maintenance crew (m/c riders) because they have a policy objection to the legal use of a trail by motorcycle riders. The riders have been maintaining trails for 15 years as volunteers!

There are regulations that the forest service must abide by. This sounds like the volunteer group wants to use a trail that is not on the official Motor Vehicle Use Map (MVUM). I applaud the volunteers for all of the time and energy they put into trail maintenance but they too have to follow policy or get it changed.
