Kisan Headlight Modulator help

Hi, my Kisan Headlight mod kinda got tore up when I crashed a while back.

The unit consists of 3 things:

Headlight unit
Wire
Photodiode

I need someone to help me, what color are the wires going into the headlight unit? Also, can you give me what position these wires are in (there are 3 positions).

Thanks all

what kind do you have? Cos I'm just using the one that fits inline with the headlamp... sounds like yours was one of the remote deals (unless the sensor wire got hacked up)

Dono- I just rewired mine in the Hayabusa over the weekend. The side of the box that has the daylight sensor, that's the 'power in' side. Green is ground, so the blue wire is your power wire. The side opposite the daylight sensor is what goes into the headlight.

Now I just have to wire in some Hyper-Lites for the backside!! Or maybe one one of those modulators that turns the turn signals into running lights.

Can't tell if you got it figured out, but at least with the external versions, the wiring is different(slightly) depending on the model.

I had to get the external one for a Goldwing from Kisan because my headlight bucket is too cramped for the in-line version that plugs to the rear of the bulb.

But, a call to Kisan Tech-Support, and all was well! They were extremely helpful, even to the point of modifying the module to work with my harness. In fact, in the end, since the Goldwing module is "overengineered" with huge MOSFETS to support the multiple lights on the GW, my OEM single bulb headlight should prove no strain on the flasher, no matter what wattage bulb I throw at it.

And then I dipped the whole thing in liquid vinyl, so now it(and my Kisan "Signal Minder" module) are pretty darned close to weather proof.

Funny side note, although I don't remember the relevant colored wires, on the GW external unit, at least one of the wires is simply a "pass through" and once you cut off the connectors, for my application it's not used and you can just literally just pull it right through and out of the box. I think it was the white wire :laughing

Anyway, bottom line, if you have a question and even have an application that they don't sell a specific model for, Kisan's tech support was extremely helpful and happy to assist.

don't know if the SDC module is wired the same as the Kisan but the principles are the same.
