Always pat the tank and say thanks when home or after a race when you have that special bike that gets you there or makes you look good doing it.
New bikes don't care so much but vintage bikes have soul so they "get it" when you do that.

:thumbup.

Don't do it unless you feel it. And if you feel it, no need to even say anything, she knows what you mean.

CONGRATULATIONS!!!

So nice to hear another antique is saved & riding again. Plah, pla....burrrr bring, ding, dung dung dung.....

I miss the smell of 2-stroke in the morning...:thumbup :teeth

Last good ride on my H1b-500 Mach 1 was over Mt. Hamilton, out to Patterson for fuel, & back home. Almost ran out of gas couple times but had a ball...:ride

Went thru a long list of plate options.

Some amazing ones really. The below was the winner.
Here are the podiums and why.
1WHL UP - not confident enough I will be able to wheelie the bike like I know it can and how i used too. However it was well known as lofting a few and the plate was a solid choice.

WDWMAKR - my first choice but nixed by the wife. :laughing
I have know idea why? :p this is the nick name I heard for all the triples back in the days of street smokes.

And the winner.......
Well it fits. I'll take it.

Chambers are great for lots of reasons...but I ended up going back to stock pipes (unbaffled) because it was the best cross between too loud & not too loud but still good sound...& better than stock performance. :thumbup

Fully understand as I rode w/chambers for years before backtracking...

...that's why they have the old saying:

"...stampede a herd of cows at a quarter mile..."

Dennis, that's great.
Congratulations. I'm more tyan a little jealous, since your H1 is identical to the one I bought new from Jackson motors in Half Moon Bay. (Anyone remember David Jackson?)

Any chance of a ride sometime? You can ride my R69S.

Love these bikes, looks like you did a great job with it. My father in law rode an h1 across the country twice and raced it with AFM.

If you are looking to make noise the denco pipes are pretty rippin!

Found a photo of my own H1-F, purchased from Jackson Motors in Half Moon Bay.
This picture is a scan from my huge collection of Minox negatives that I've never even looked at. I'm embarked on a project to get as much of it digitized as possible.
The resolution is crappy because Minox (the original spy camera) film format is 8x11 mm. Tiny.
The colors look true to original.
If you were riding on Skyline in 1975, you probably saw this bike squirming up and down the road between 92 and Skylonda corners, or down towards San Gregorio.
