Hello Bay Area Riders!

I took a beginner CMSP course in San Jose last week. I initially was thinking of just focusing on dirt, but I had so much fun during the course that I think I might try some street riding too. There is a satisfying feeling of being fully in the moment and focusing on cornering that is hard to replicate elsewhere, even if it's just going around a parking lot in circles.

There are so many great resources in this forum for a newbie like me and this forum looks like a fantastic community. I hope to give back as much to it as it has taught me!

The two wheel world is filled with excitement and satisfaction. Danger lurks so taking it seriously and upping your skill set methodically is the key in my mind.

Dirt offers great opportunities for basic control that when becomes automatic can greatly enhance street riding.

Have fun here and enjoy your two wheel journey.

Motomania there were three instructors. Between the first and second day they switched up one of the instructors. I only remember a really nice guy named Kevin.

I took the class with Pacific Motorcycle Training, if that helps.

Welcome Sparrow! This place is awesome. You also can learn all sort of information besides motorcycles. The jokes here are also more funny than the ones I’ve seen in WhatsApp and Facebook.

I taught a class with Kevin today at PMT.

I wonder if I was one of your instructors.

Haha quite possibly! :laughing I was there last week on the green Grom during the afternoon.

I got a question though. How do you stand the heat? I was only out there for 5 hours and on a bike, but I was exhausted by the end of the day. I can't imagine standing for the entire day out in that sun.

I've been doing it for about a decade. You learn how to cope, stay hydrated and on really hot days, stay wet.

I took last week off. I have been teaching all this week though.
