Getting back to work.. protocols and preperation

Seen the clips on tv of cleaners wiping down chairs, counters, and door knobs as a preparation for reopening businesses. We all know how lazy and complacent humans are. That cleaning, which I doubt in thorough enough anyhow, will get done less and less everyday that business is open.
Maybe it gets a deep cleaning the first day open but on day two it becomes a quick wipe down and just gets less and less everyday after. Likely becoming a light dusting a couple times per week.

People are creatures of habit and even hospitals don't get a sufficient amount of cleaning. You'd be nieve to trust your health to minimum wage cleaners out there in the everyday dog eat dog world of people who just don't give a shit.

Well I have been working harder than ever. A lot of it due to how work needs to be done remotely.

Out and about a bit too.

My biz is picking up.
The industrial construction industry is still alive.
I won’t say well but companies are figuring it out.

My biggest client has their Covid shit together.
Walk in. Laser scans me for my temp and I am good to go in a second.

Others not so much but protocols are solid

I have to mingle to run my biz. No other way.
Electronic permit process is a mix of fucked up and hope for the future.

Ground Hog day life. Working 7 days a week.
Shorter days on the weekend because I got to watch MotoGP and shit like that.

Used to being alone in my office. Kind of cool in ways.

All the protocols we put in place are still not used.

I know businesses are challenged and a lot are fighting for their life or died already. All we can do is try. Lord knows I am.

Back in the day it was called a "vertical hold tube".

DIY TV repair, running the tube tester @ the hardware store.

Still humping.

10-11 hours a day plus 10 or so over the weekend.

2 employees gone :(

Others are working 60+%. I need those billable hours to keep us above water but we remain. Overhead is bigger than basic volume. Worst year financially I have ever experienced business wise. Yet we remain.

Thank goodness hi tech is still moving. A few good projects there. :angel

Pic below.
Today on a punch list (making sure they built it per plan with no mistakes).

I like my job but right now I am living it .... alone 7 days a week.
What a strange trip.

Hit up a clean room today. Full bunny suit. Head to toe with moon boots and gloves. Glasses because of lasers. :cool

I sent the pic to my daughter saying I picked up my suit for your covid wedding. It is blue as requested. :laughing

Have to think that the people working in there are pretty damn safe from the bug, but what a pain in the rear to go take a leak. :p

It has turned into the same thing really. :laughing
At least for me.

Office has picked up. 70% now. Might have more this month but not sure how “I” can handle it. No more days a week to be had.

I figure this is a test to survive and have my head down.

Online City stuff is a PITA as their is no uniformity.
All are different.

Planning on a big plan review in 3 weeks. They are using a 10k SF hall with a projector to see plans while zooming too. 20 people all mask to mask but not. Just another trip to experience while hoping to stay safe.

No bunny suit for that one.
