fuzz on the freeway

I was on my way home today and got pulled over by the fuzz. He was on a bike though, so it made it better.

I was just rollin' in the carpool lane, leanin' down on the tank with my left arm under me when I saw him in front of me about 1/4 of a mile. I slowed down to 70 (from 75) then down to 65. I came up next to him and waved at him. Then he pulls up next to me and tries to say something to me, I couldn't hear him and shook my head at him. He tried again, same result. So he waves me over to the other side of the road and turns on his lights. **sigh** I didn't think I had done anything wrong, so I just stayed calm and pulled over. I got over there...and he just asked me about my headlights. He said they were dwarfing the cars' headlights and that I looked like an airplane coming in for a landing. I told him they were just stock lights as far as I knew and that I had only had the bike for a week. He was like, "Come on...Come on.." I said, no really..I asked the guy and he said it was all stock. He said, ok, then they are just really good lights. I just nodded and he told me to make sure they weren't overrated and pulled away.

Now that I think about it...they aren't overrated -- he was definitely able to see them. :D

Wow, that's kind of scary. I hate getting pulled over. Probably cuz I always get a ticket when I get pulled over. :(

Never been pulled over while on the bike though, always in the car. They're just nailing me with the ticket cuz I gots the loud exhaust on my car. Not fair!!! :mad

I've always gotten ticketed in my cars too. Don't understand it...I even got speeding tix in my Jeep Wrangler...how damn fast can you go in a Wrangler?? :rolleyes

Back east, I woulda prolly run from the cops on my bike, but none of them even looked at me while I was riding. No need to run here, the cops gots the bikes too and those dern whirlie birds. :D I see someone pulled over every morning and every evening on my way to and from work on 101.

At least the cop was kewl and didn't bother me for my paperwork or anything. He was just curious about the lights. :)

Hope I'm that lucky every time. :D

I don't think it has anything to do with the car. I think it's the driver;)

No need to worry about the bike cops on your 929. I talked with a CHP rider on one of their new BMWs. The speedo on them only goes to 130, so if you're willing to push it, you can out run them easily.
