Forum guidelines as of 4/9/2014.

As always, BARF Terms Of Service apply first.

For purposes of picture posting and discussion threads in Vintage Cafe, bikes made before 1985 are what this forum is about.
I won't jump on anyone who posts pictures or mentions newer stuff (within reason) in reply to threads assuming they're relevant to the discussion.


More to come: This document will be a work in progress. If anyone has suggestions, please PM me and we can discuss it. Worthwhile suggestions will be put up for consideration in a poll.

Not a guideline question, but I'm all vintage, all the time and feel I can contribute a lot, BUT. I'll admit I need to know how to post multiple pics at one time. I have photobucket.
If that won't do it, please suggest a photo thing to use.
AND if you can, detailed old guy instructions on how to do it please.
Another whippersnapper tried once but blew thru it in English (?) that left me wondering and unsuccessful.
Anyway, I'm 56, been street riding since I was 14, Brit bikes for 25 years, restored, bought, sold, showed, raced one with AHRMA for 10 years.
Japanese continuously during all this.

You can post multiple pictures using the button in the bar at the top of the edit screen that looks like a picture of some mountains.
What you need to do is go to photobucket and into the album that contains the pictures you want to post.
Click on the greyed out text area next to the "direct" field below the thumbnail of your picture, and click on the text that's in it. Copy (right mouse click while hovering mouse over the text, then click "copy") the text, then go to barf and start a message (best to do this in two tabs or windows, so both photobucket and barf can be readily switched between), click the picture link, and paste the text you copied into the text field that opens up.
After the URL for your photobucket picture is entered, click ok and the img tags with the url will appear in your message.
You can do that as many times as you want in the same message. Just remember to press enter at least once after each picture, or they'll all appear on the same line.

Don't use the img link in photobucket, it doesn't seem to play well with forum software, and the img tags are included in a url link that doesn't work at all.

Let me in a new thread if you're still having problems. There are other ways to post pictures that we can discuss.

I think we still have a desk top machine somewhere around here....

Hope that helps. If any of it's not making sense to you, let me know by replying in that thread, and I'll see if I can fix it so it's more clear.
