Really hoping the Harleys keep improving. Smith looked good at Indy. Gauthier loves Springfield so I hope he can get a good result. Halbert is making the Indian work for him so he could be a real threat this weekend.

The Slammer! Three miles races in a row where Mees was a distant second? Didn't expect that.

Looking forward to tomorrow. Hope Carver, Briar B. and Gauthier have a better Sunday.

mebbe they said sumthin about RE & Lewis, yet I missed even a peep about em from Scotty or NBCSN

RE: H-D - so this time itz Dalton ahead of the other 2, Smith’s Indy remains a 1-off so far, it feels like only a mid-field reshuffle overall - sad.....

astonished @ Injunz Wrecking Crew behind 4 privateers all day, save #1 moving forward @ end - puzzling & heartening

I’ve long been a Carver fan & hope he rebounds forward from 3rd

JD @ least wasn’t last, mebbe therez progress?

WAY too much non-racing for me, FT FB simply blew up over it - AFT keeps tweaking both the details & the grand sweep of their vision, they’re not there yet - the overall package is more compelling than MotoAmerica right now

Singles ST x2 was good example of how much fun they can be -
it may be EZ to ignore amateur, Pro-Am, & Astro races, but there is gold in all that activity if one is patient & knows where to look

I really want Harley, Kaw & Yam to get faster & am past being ready for more Injun engine(!) restrictions - no spec class, please!

Good race, missed the first 3 minutes of the main when NBC Gold froze. Not sure what happened to Halbert, he was out when the feed came back.

Injun fails for both 23 & 69, plus Price as well

I’m gonna be donating $$ to Carver, hez earned it!

aOther notes for this weekend:

Former national champ Jake Johnson will fill in for the recovering Buggs Pearson on the RJ Performance Indian FTR750.

There are some private KTMs entered in Production Twins. There has a been a lot of speculation about KTM entering SuperTwins at some point as the KTM 790 engine appears to have great characteristics for FT racing.

Royal Enfield is finally making its debut as a factory race team with Johnny Lewis tonight in Production Twins. RE had S&S build the develop and build the engines and fine-tune what was orginally a Harris chassis from the UK. Royal Enfield is committed to using AFT to market their bikes in the US and beyond.

GO JL10 !!

GO RE !!

I forgot in my Spfld response that Lewis/RE was 1/2-miles only (a few) -
I have hi hopes (long run) for this moto - JL previously rode Lloyd Ducati,
& IIRC helped Bayliss prepare before disastrous Sacto Mile

GO JD !!

GO Kevin Stollings !!

GO Chad Cose !!

Lewis was also the first privateer to race an FTR750 which he put on the podium at the Texas Half Mile just a few days after buying the bike.

I'm excited about the RE entry and hope they spend even more $$s with AFT.

Beach stated on social media that Estenson built new frames and engines for Springfield for both him and Carlile. That team has a lot of good people and is extremely well-funded. Don't know why they aren't making progress. At the end of 2018, Beach had two top ten finishes on the Yamahas and that was the last time they were that close on a non-TT track. They've been at the back ever since. Hard to imagine Tim Estenson is happy spending all this money for such dismal results.

The problem is not JD. I'd love to see what he could do on an Indian.

Well the class dominators dominated last night. I think some racers dialed it down a bit with that unprotected concrete wall. Yikes.

We'll see if tonight is any different.
