A glove designed for the racetrack, but more than suitable for all-around riders, the RFX1 from Five Gloves quickly grew on our list of most-desired gloves thanks to a plethora of features.
Starting with ventilated polyurethane knuckles, you can also find hard armor in the form of a carbon plate that protects the forearm. It offers all the features of a top-of-the-line glove geared towards performance. These items are attached to a cowhide chassis on the tops and sides of the hand. Opposite of this armor, goatskin is used on the palm for feel and flexibility. The palm is further reinforced in Digital Pittards English leather for a reliable grip in wet weather.
Inside the glove, a Kevlar lining is employed for durability and comfort. In areas where flexibility is required, Stretch Kevlar does double-duty as a protective barrier for both the palm and the top of the hand, while providing an exceptionally lightweight fit. Holding it all in place, a Velcro strap is secreted behind a flap of protective leather to reduce the risk of the glove being torn off in the event of a fall.
