Well......I got my foot peg on friday, put it on and went out for a short ride around town yesterday, and I tell ya...........a low side does some nasty shit with your mind. I've lost some confidence when going through turns with any type of lean at all, I know its all mental, but I didnt think it would bug me as much as it did. I think I have lost about 3 months of experience based on my experience level, so I WAS "confident" now I'm a "bitch". :D But I did manage to do some mediocre stoppies, but they were weak cause the brakes weren't warmed up.....didnt grab at all, and I tried a burn out but all that happened was my front tire scooted along even though it was locked.......I guess I gotta put more weight towards the front. I sat on the tank while riding(saw Portrmance do it at our last ride), and I tried doing a christ off the seat but my balls are still too small so I didnt let go of the handlebars, so I rode around with my feet on the seat with everyone looking at me funny. :toothless :toothless

That's alright, you can ride at the back of the pack with me. The important thing to remember is it will all come back to you. It's like rid... Oh wait.:confused Forget it. You know that.:D

Glad to hear your rolling again, and don't stress to much over the confidence thing it will come back in due time.

It's taken me about 2 months of riding after my lowside to start leaning again, but I think once the roads dry out I'll be back in the rhythm.

i've sat on the tank before. don't know if that's considered a trick or not. just need to get my legs up over the windshield. :D aren't tank christs more stable? should try that instead. ;)

glad you're riding again. i lowsided Oct. and got my bike a month or so ago. still trying to get back to my former self. I think i'm about 70% there. was def. taking turns faster. at least i think so.:rolleyes

Glad to hear your back on the bike and getting more squildy. I think once you take a ride with everyone you'll get your twisties back. Good time to start practicing wheelies until then though.

As far as seat vs. gas tank christ it all depends on the bike. I stand on my gas tank because my seat is squishy and narrow but my gas tank is nice and flat on the top. My friend who has the F4i stands on his seat because it's flatter and harder than the gas tank(had to get one in there Mstingray) Hardest part of a christ is to get your knees straight, once your standing up it's all gravy.

Thanks for the positive input. On the next ride, I think I will be in "bitch mode" :D, but like most of you said, it'll come back to me.

i've lost som confidence in my riding as well, since my lowside too. it didn't help when ravi told me my bike and i bounced off a hillside then landed on the ground.:D :D

i'll know i'll be riding the back of the pack for a while till i get used it to it again. this trackday should help out a lot.

the only thing i'm worried about is the wind , now i converted my bike into a streetfighter...well sort of.
