DMV renewal question.

Hi, I received my DMV renewal for my gixxer last week. The VIN# and license plate # on the letter do not match my bike's numbers. I received another renewal today with all the right numbers. Should I just ignore the first letter or I have to call DMV to clarify this so I don't get penalties?

I'd send a certified letter explaining what has occurred along with copies of both documents. On the documents, indicate the wrong and correct one so DMV does not get mixed up.....

Get the incorrect info off your record... you may end up being held accountable for the wrong info (i.e. it belongs to another owner, etc.. who does not take care of their own business and it comes back on you ( parking tix that may hold you up from registering your vehicles / renewing your CDL....).
