Had my own deer encounter on May 8th on Bear Creek Rd near Briones reservoir; nothing broken but bad abrasions on left arm despite NO damage to the (also) Icon textile jacket or the gauntlet glove. Very weird!

... So how's the bike? My last inpact with a furry on my SXV and it almost completely destroyed it. Tore up my pinky/foot/shoulder/etc really good too. And how did you get it home???

The bike wasn't too bad. Of course some scrapes on some of the plastic, a bent front brake lever, bent handle bar mounts, bent bark busters, and some rash on the exhaust can. Luckily plastic parts for these bikes are cheap. The brake lever and bar mounts were the most expensive parts that were damaged and replaced (the scratched up Akra can will remain as a battle scar).

I called Ken (KPKE) from the hospital and he retrieved the bike later that night and delivered to my back yard. That dude is awesome!:thumbup (those are his photos from the crash scene)
