Damn NIN-ja's, PART DEUX

Has been
It's a dead NIN-ja!

Ok, so I'm coming back from Road Rider at lunch with my new gloves and feeling happy...other than the allergy issue and sneezing into my face shield.

On 280, hit the blinker to go onto 85 and notice not only doesn't the blinker work, the speedo and tach (which are NOT digital on the 6r) needles are freaking out. Up, down and all over the dial. What are my RPMs? No clue. Ok, listen to the sound of the engine. Downshift. Good.

I stay on 85 for a couple miles and take the 237 interchange. The needles are still freaking out, but it's apparently not bothering the engine too much, just my nerves. Get onto 237 easily, downshifting to 2nd, then back up again to 5th. Still a little uneasy, but otherwise working properly. Or, almost.

Go to take the Maude exit, cause that's where I work...the LCD guages start flickering! Freaking temperature is blink, blink, blinkety blink-blinking all the way into 3rd for the stoplight. Wow, that engine sounds dead. Crap...second...vroom! But, not for long. It's totally dead. Won't even try to start. I get to now, dismount my dead horse and walk it across the lane and up into a parking lot.

Luckily, I wasn't alone, so I hitched a ride back to the office, but still! It's freaking dead!

Anyone happen to know why? Or, how to fix this sudden problem?

Thanks much!

could be bad battery

could be bad battery or alternator.

same thing happen to my car cuz my battery was tied down so the connections were loose. Properly tied down, the problem doesnt exist anymore.

Didn't you rule out a bad battery w/ your 1st problem? When you try to start it now what happens i.e. clicking noise, turns over but won't fire, etc. How many miles on it?

Missing information....

Aren't you missing some VITAL information? Like the fact that you left it in "PARK" for half of day prior to the ride? :p

I don't think I believed you about that. Who could be so dumb?

Ouch! Hey I did it a couple times before, and I am sure everyone with the 'SAFETY' amenity in their bike has had some issues with it as well.
