Given where Ricky is starting I think he has a shot at the overall. Going to have to ride his ass off and navigate his ass off but possible with a little luck.

Skyler needs to have a good day to so he can hold 5th.

Go boys go!! :flag

From the live news...

Thanks to his first stage success since 2019 yesterday, Sam Sunderland struck a major blow! Not only did he bring a halt to a series of seven stage wins for Honda, but he also boosted his chances in the battle for the title. General standings leader Kevin Benavides, title holder Ricky Brabec and the British rider are within seven minutes at the start of the day’s 200-km long special. Anything is still possible, even if, in this particular case, it is better to be in the shoes of Benavides, who will have the advantage of starting six minutes after Sunderland and following his tracks. However, once again, caution must be the watchword, because nobody is safe from a mishap.

447 km separate the competitors still in the rally from the overall finish, including a 200-km long special. On paper, it is short, but with dunes again on the menu, mistakes are possible, as are incidents when getting stuck can cost precious time. While the title is still up for grabs for some, others will just be focused on completing this adventure on the shores of the Red Sea with the satisfaction of having finished!

I've been doing the Dakar tracking map in one window and the google map satellite view in another. Each at half a screen. Then I just scroll along in both.
Zooming in (and out) on the google map give's a better perspective on the terrain.

Not seeing timing. All I got is triangles.

Hope the red one with the American flag rocks.

Ricky is going hard. So is Kevin.

If Ricky keeps pace he will pass Sam but still be behind KB.

Yeah. I am doing the initial thing :twofinger :laughing

Enjoying the triangle show. Simple pleasures.

two waypoints is odd ... took me 10 min to figure it out until I saw m0t0_ryder’s post explaining it to me ... :laughing

waiting for the big reveal now at the end ... guess maybe I should try to stay up for that. :angel

congratulations to Team Honda, best finish since 1987! :party
