Classes for Aprilia RS250?

Can anyone confirm what classes an Aprilia RS250 is legal for? This is a 249cc, street-based, water-cooled, 2-stroke twin. From my reading of the rulebook, it could go in:

Formula 4 (201-250 cc ....... Street based, 2-stroke, twin-cylinder)
Formula 2 (201-250 cc ....... 2-stroke)
350 Superbike
350 Superstock
Clubman Lightweight
Legacy Lightweight

Thanks for any info!

I posed this same question in the AFM Facebook group and got a pretty lively discussion and lots of input within a day or two (interesting data point in the forum-vs-FB debate). General consensus was that it is legal for all of the superbike and lightweight classes, but not supersport. There were some who thought it should be supersport legal as well :)afm199), but from what I've read it was never sold as street legal in the US, only Europe, so SBK only. In response to the previous post, there is nothing I've read in the rulebook that excludes 2-strokes from either SBK or superstock.

This is the conversation I had with Jordan E:

"Classes stated at beginning are correct (plus Formula 40 lightweight), but only if it's a STREET-based 250 and you can PROVE it (someone's going to protest). If it isn't, then it's only legal for Formula 2. The bike does need to be US produced for Superstock, so it's likely illegal for superstock. Also need to double-check the manufacture date for Legacy Light and make sure it's 2007 or older. You can also race Formula 1 and F40 middle, but wouldn't recommend unless you were an AMA GP250 champion."

"Jordan Edginton awesome, thank you for the response! The next logical question is, what documentation would my friend need to present to you to PROVE that it is a street legal bike, and can he provide it to you ahead of time so that any protests can be quickly settled? There are several knowledgeable people in this thread who can vouch that they are street based. A quick Google finds a review that explicitly says they are street bikes. https://newatlas.com/go/2542/ Are you looking for something more?"

"A VIN number on the frame would validate that it was sold at a dealer, either in the US or abroad, and therefore be legal at least for superbike."

I've never seen a 2 stroke in a 350 class. Given the bulk of that class is R3's/Ninja 300's/etc. a 250 2-stroke would be staggeringly quicker. I agree, that looking at the rule book it doesn't differentiate between 2t or 4t for that class. Go for it until they change the rules or you get protested
