Can you ID this tank bag?

I was given this tank bag ages ago assuming it was mine. It's definitely not something I purchased, so it must be my dad's, but he doesn't want it back.. :banana

My bagster is awesome, though it's slightly too wide for tight turns. I'm gonna sacrifice some space for confidence and put this bad boy on. Never used this style before, which way do I mount the mount? 2 tabs towards the back with a single strap around some frame part that gets clipped in place on each left and right. Have a single strap around the neck..?
The pad also has 2 slits to accommodate what I assume is another way to strap it to the tank before zipping the bag on, but I can't see how that would be more secure than front/back/side straps. That also seems like a great way to make things difficult at the pump.

The bag has Velcro straps that don't line up with the pad, guessing to fix it on top a bigger bag? I'm probably over thinking this waaay too much. Also not sure what the soft Velcro half is for on the single tongue. There are zero markings on this thing though, no way to look up a product description or image of it on someone's bike. There's no logos, names, not a single care label, nada.

Do you know? I'd guess around 17-20L when expanded. 10 max in standard form. Not big enough for a full face helmet, small enough expanded to fit under the seat as carry on luggage. My 15" 'laptop' just fits in if I'm gentle.

Doesn't seem like I'm having success with pictures. Will post them separately..

Similar to a Marsee tank bag I have minus the mount. That mounting reminds me of my first JC Whitney tank bag. :rolleyes Way complicated for gassing unless you’re missing the seat area Velcro strap which would be simple but maybe not secure.
I’m going with someone playing a serious practical joke on you.:rofl

Well, gonna see if I can make it work tonight.
Whist digging to answers in the old gear we forgot about closet, I found this beauty.

How the heck have I never heard of these guys?? The bag seems awesome , though their site doesn't exist anymore :(
Hold a decent amount, seems very well built so not sure why they fizzled. Bummer.

The top bit is actually padded with what feels like neoprene. Could see this making one quite relaxed if on a sportier positioned bike.

The first pic is an Eclipse from the 80's. Or 90's. I've seen them offered for sale in shops for about three decades. A very, very handy unit to have.

What a legend! Thank you rod! I did get it mounted up, though had to get creative. I had x2 F buckles, where I needed x1M buckle-half for the seat strap. Oh well, it works & I no longer look like a knob putting my hazards on or bleeping the horn making tight turns in the parking lot :laughing

HELLA bright when expanded :p
