Gov. Newsom just held a press conference, announcing California is instituting a "10-roll limit" on toilet paper. "Rather than create a whole new system, Californians can simply sign up on the existing CFARS which will track purchases or regular, super absorbent or other high capacity rolls".
"Initial use will come with a $19 fee, thereafter (once in the CFARS) expect $1 fee per roll each time. California is proud to set the example for the rest of the country, these needless purchases of large capacity and large quantities can not be tolerated".
The governor deferred questions about interstate transfer and possession limits, saying that details would all be worked out in the coming days.
