Hi All, Had my bike stolen while at work yesterday in SF out of a parking structure. Figured I would post here on the remote possibility it gets seen, although pretty sure she has been parted out by now. Anyway, 2020 Ninja 1000sx standard green and black, last 3 of license plate is 870. Mods included oxford heated grips, barkbuster s7 handguards, dual hard packs, Kawa sliders/plastic engine protectors, and unique to this bike a sae adapter on the powerport. Thanks for keeping an eye out.

Moto and auto theft is off the charts right now and catalytic converters going like hotcakes.

SF has become pretty lawless, the DA gave the city up to the thugs and homeless and the police are told don’t even bother. You’re on your own in SF and the bad guys know it.

They must be, if even N1K's are getting stolen now. Guess I'll have to be extra vigilant with my countermeasures when I ride mine to work. Heck, a coworker had his converter stolen in daylight, and he was parked right next to the front door at work. To hell with all those thieves! :rant

OP, I'll keep an eye out in my neck of the woods. I rarely see N1K's other than my own, so I always spot them right away on the rare occasion one enters my view.

He doublehockeysticks has frozen over. Bike recovered.

Time to go buy my lottery ticket. The bike has been found!! Other than the pain of paying 1300 bucks to get it out of impound and another 600 for the messed ignition/key/wiring the bike is undamaged. Heck, they didnt even crack open my sidecases to see what was there. Found 1 mile from the location of theft. Shop thinks they never even got it started, the recovery spot was downhill the entire way. Thanks for all the support!!

Damn that's pricey.

If you've got comprehensive insurance, would they reimburse you for theft recovery?

Infuriating, but glad you got it back!
