If you missed it, Aprilia Racing Track Days is putting on an event November the 23rd at Buttonwillow Raceway. Looks like a session on an Aprilia is included in the price.

I've got a few 10% off coupon codes up for grabs, courtesy of Spirit Motorcycles San Jose our local Aprilia Dealer.

PM me you full name, phone number and email address and I will send you a code via email and add you to the Spirit Motorcycles San Jose list.

RS 660

dang it, all spots to try out the RS 660 are sold out...

So I'm guessing it's $250 for a full track day of 20 minute sessions of BYOB (bring your own bike), correct?

I think you can still ride the RSV or Tuono just they aren't guaranteeing a session on the RS660. That's the way it reads to me anyway.

I haven't attended one of these Aprilia days previously. From the description looks like every entrant get a session on an Aprilia (looking forward to that!).
...and you don't have to have an Aprilia to sign up for the day.
...and yes, looks like all the spots guaranteeing a ride on the new RS660 bike are sold out but, that doesn't mean one will not become available throughout the day. But, I hear there are only going to be 6 of the new RS660 bikes. Not sure how many bikes in total.

Hope to see you out there!

I did the one last year at chuckwalla. It was an absolute blast. I rode my own bike only one session the whole day because every other session I was on a different Aprilia. They also paid for the photo packages for everyone and bought out a food truck serving tacos, ceviche and horchata. Worth every penny.

Don’t worry about the 660 not being available, try a Tuono or RSV4. You’ll love the V4 on track.

Damn, sad I missed this. I’d have paid $280 just for the session on the RS660. Don’t even need to ride the rest of the day. That’s the kind of test ride that money usually can’t buy, aside from literally buying the bike.

Thanks to Gino for the coupon that event was great. It's a great deal when you consider you get a track day, you get to ride an Aprilia bike on the track, you get photography, and lunch. That's the first time I got to ride that track on a motorcycle and man you can get some serious speed. Highly recommend. If you want to buy an Aprilia talk to Gino.

I got to ride the RSV4 Factory which was terrifyingly fast. My first time riding a super liter bike on a track.

I got lucky and was able to ride the RS660 at the end of the day. It was a blast to ride and it was much easier to handle than the RSV4.

Riding the Empulse TT, one track session was enough to chew through half the charge. It's a great bike to ride on the track when it has power. I thought it would be ok since I got to ride another bike but I still had to skip a session and one time I ran out of power and had to limp it off the track.

Darn, I missed this! Got invited to their event 2-years ago @ TH. Yeah, RSV4 was quite a beast! It was set up for someone much heavier than me, so it was very bouncy and hard to control.

Yeah I was holding on for my dear life it was so fast. There is another event at Chuckwalla in like 2 weeks.

Yes Merlin, I had a great time out there too! Was awesome being able to try a couple of Aprilia bikes for a session out there. I took a couple of early rides on a Shiver and a RSV4.... I'll have to wait for our bikes to show up at Spirit to get on the new RS660. But, they looked fast out there. I brought my SV650 for reference but never got to match up with the new bike, as there were only 4 out there.

I was really interested in RS660 after seeing prototype at show couple years ago. Too bad original spec weight of 300-lbs didn't get carried over into production model. Would still like to try it out on track though. Chuckwalla so far away...

Gino, where did you find the link for the photos? Great day at the track! RSV4 was unreal

I just signed up for the Chuckwalla Day. All the reserved RS660 spots were gone, so I'll just have to slum it on the RSV4s and Tuonos...

The photos they sent in a link in an email but here it is:

I didn't sign up to ride the RS660 and was still able to ride it. The folks that did are guaranteed to get to ride it but you never know you might be able to still ride it, they limit you to 2 demo rides. I chose the RSV4 then came back after and asked if I could ride the RS660 and they signed me up for later in the day. Nothing like riding an Italian sportbike into the sunset :)
