I was surprised to see this item in the latest issue of The Enthusiast magazine (Harley's mag for its HOG members).

"2021 will be off the hook. Eighty years is a big anniversary, and in any normal year that would guarantee big crowds, but with almost a year's worth of pent-up energy it should be a legendary coming-out party to kick off a year of making up for lost time."

Yeah, because, you know - it's been almost a year since the last annual event, and people are going nuts...:rolleyes Plus, if you missed your chance to get COVID at Sturgis, well - here's another shot at it.

During Bike Week 2019, 500,000 people showed up over the 10 days - Sturgis got nothing on this one. So who's in?

Bike week in 2020 had at least 2/3 of the normal crowd, from what I heard, despite the rising tide of the pandemic.

I expect that there was some degree of spreading from that event.

People are ..... people.

Some are responsible people.
Some are caring people.
Some are just people that are people.

Some of those like to moto party.

Just glad it is Florida because data shows they have the shit under control.

Very chill, Budman. I guess I was just a bit surprised that the MoCo was promoting this event before there’s any sign of “all under control”, especially after the fallout from Sturgis.

There is some question as to how accurate the data their governor is releasing (all data goes through the governor's entity before being sent to HHS collector).

Personally, I don't think it would matter, last year bike week went on despite the pandemic hitting well before it.

I don't believe it is accurate. I should have added a :p

Some of those people are just not going to be smart until they get bit in the ass by the Rona.

Even with all the information about Sturgis they cannot see past their own personal wants. I want to :party in Daytona!! Woot woot! :nchantr
