I just ordered a 520 chain and sprocket for my bike. My question is since I'll be going up in size to a 45t rear how many links over stock (108) should I cut the chain. BTW max is 120 links 'cuz that is how long they come.

well it all depends on after you install the new sprockets, you run the chain through and put the tire where you'll have the best adjustment, make sure you take into consideration chain stretch and then you'll cut off what you don't need....on mine, i bought a 120 link and ended up removing 2 links...let me know how it turns out....

and weasel don't delete this... :)

Ninja..........I just installed my 520 conversion today, and as far as how many links I cut, I have no idea, I just kept measuring and cutting. I kept the front sprocket stock and went up 2 in the rear with a D.I.D. ERV2 X-ring chain. I put on both sprockets then I did the chain measuring then cutting. Just measure a few times and cut a little at a time. Good Luck
