Bummer to see Camier not racing but I'm glad he'll have a position of influence in the paddock.

Some WSBK teams are testing this week at Jerez. BMW teams won't test until the first week of March. Yamaha teams will be at the Misano test in mid-March. First race is Assen in late April.

The first test of 2021 is held at Jerez on the aforementioned dates, organised by the Kawasaki Racing Team WorldSBK squad. Jonathan Rea and Alex Lowes are present, whilst the factory ARUBA.IT Racing – Ducati squad will be in action for the first time since the Estoril test with 2020 runner-up Scott Redding and new recruit, Michael Ruben Rinaldi. Team HRC are also there, watched on by new team manager Leon Camier, with Alvaro Bautista and Leon Haslam on track. Independent riders include Tito Rabat (Barni Racing Team) who gets a first outing with his new team, Chaz Davies (Team GOELEVEN), Isaac Viñales (ORELAC Racing VerdNatura) and Loris Cresson (OUTDO TPR Kawasaki).

Complete WSBK preseason test schedule:

Jerez test: 20th – 21st January
Portimao test: 4th – 5th March
Jerez test: 9th – 10th March (Honda only)
Misano test: 15th – 16th March

None of the major WSBK teams turned laps at Jerez yesterday or today due to wet/damp conditions. They will try again in a few weeks.

Johnny Rea got in just half a day of testing yesterday as weather continues to disrupt the scheduled winter testing for many WSBK teams.

Alex Lowes did not attend as he broke his collarbone while flat track training with several MotoGP and WSBK racers. A return date for Lowes has not been announced.

At least there is a new date for Assen rather than just labled as "postponed." Bummed the season won't start until May but I'll be glad there is a season.
