Museum eh? No, they belong on (and own) the trails buddy.

And if you guys can't take the interbrand ribbing and competition, stay in the mall.parking lots. because ford has a lot of work to do to regain trail credibility.

I hope the bronco is capable, it will be great to see more good rigs out there.

These 2 80 series LANDCRUISERS are currently being built up by augustiron (with turbo diesel/5 speed swaps plus a lot more) . Tan one just came back from the paint shop today to start final assembly.

And they're called landcruisers.

An FJ is an fj cruiser (shudder)

Sorry to disrupt your chat about your pretty 40 year old antiques with 80hp which weigh 6500lbs. ;)

Do they make the confirmation nicer if you spend more money?

Mine looked like this:

You Toyota FJ weirdos need to start your own thread. ;)

NO
i think the bronco might be good competition to the various landcruisers in the "looking good under a pile of fresh pow pow" category but as augustiron says they are very much TBD ponce the road ends. i'm sure they'll do fine once the recalls are sorted out :laughing

the "in 40 years" thing is an interesting one. just 5 years ago i'd have called bullshit but 40 years from now? electric propulsion might be the norm, in the US anyway. bronco or toyota, eventually ICE's are going away

10 years ago, an fj62 i should have kept:

There are still GM, FORD and even AMC cars from the late '70s running around and those were worst built pieces of shit ever. Present day cars aren't going to fall apart in two or three decades. And the aftermarket will keep providing replacement stereo/touchscreen/infotainment for a fraction of the OEM price like they do now.

Both new and old 4WD vehicles have the pluses and minuses.

Honestly I'm just messing with you guys. There is certainly something to be said about old iron as well as new technology. I love the old Toy LCs.

+1 messing. not sure about that augustiron guy though he's shady... or maybe just his driveway is because of the trees?

Keep in mind, I didn't order a Bronco Sport, but I see your point. My 2007 Mustang was the best, most reliable car I've ever owned. Then again I currently own a Land Rover and Mini so there's that.

our 2013 ford focus has been reliable as a hammer so far, except for the last "free dealer service oil change" monkey that probably used the uggadugga gun on the drain bolt so i'm afraid the threads are coming out with the drain plug.

first (few) year models are best avoided IMO, at least as new purchases. i have the luxury of saying that because i'm not in a position to plunk down for a new bronco at the moment :laughing

Hey now, AB. The only shade around here is other off roaders tossing it into soon-to-be bronco owners.

After a $17. Computer chip disabled my near perfect S class...
The dealer wanted $6000. To repair it with no guarantees.
I ended up parting it out.
So I will no longer buy a car that I cannot fix or depends on microchips
Like my last 5 cellphones.
It really sucks having a nice Un useable car!...: |

And there was No aftermarket replacement for the Encrypted engine controls.
