still a noob
Selling my 2016 BMW S1000XR. Picked it up last August for longer trips, but I realized I didn't mind touring on a naked bike and I missed a v-style motor. I absolutely loved the handling and nimbleness that you would not expect from a 500lb+ sport-touring bike, and I put 4000 miles on after I bought it, including a trip to LA and back the week after I bought it.
Bike has right around 30000 miles, but these motors are dead reliable. Does not have the camshaft hardening flaw, so it's good to go for many more miles. The bike is a salvage title that's been re-registered. It was down at one point, and there are some dings and scratches on the plastics and one or two broken tabs, but the bike rides straight and has done well over 100mph with no issues. The brake lever tip also has come off, but I just rode without it plenty fine.
I just changed the oil with Castrol Power 1 Full Synthetic and bled the brakes with Motul RBF600. Codes were checked on a GS911 and the bike is all clear, no faults whatsoever.
Has the following:
- Heated Grips
- Cruise Control
- Rider Modes Pro (Dynamic Pro mode)
- Dynamic ESA (electronically adjustable suspension)
- GPS Mount (non-locking version)
- Center Stand
- Luggage rack with Givi monokey plate
- Cornering ABS, traction control, etc.
- Up AND Down quickshifter
- Factory low seat (helps a lot with around town)
- Puig extended windscreen
- Set of Road 5 tires that I put on when I bought the bike, only 3000 miles on the set.

Given the mileage, price, and condition, I'm just looking for 7200. That's what I paid, and doesn't count the givi plate and tires I put on. It will come with whatever small box of extras the previous owner gave me. I have a givi case that's negotiable as well.
I'm happy to show the bike most any days - pm me to set up a showing (with masks).
