Hey guys, i am getting rid of my truck and thought i would offer it to you guys first. Its an 89 f250 custom, with the 7.3L international diesel engine coupled to a 4 speed overdrive tranny. 190,000 miles. The cab is a little off white while the bed is more of a true white. this was because when my dad was driving, somebody rear ended him and tweaked the bed a little. his friend was turning his later year ford into a flat bed, so he got this bed cheap. has 2 big mats in the back along with a custom made stainless strap secure bar. also has a forklift rack (slightly different so you can put stuff on without pinching the forks). this truck does have its minor flaws, but has been very reliable for me. the side of the bed has a slight scrape on it above the wheel well, not very noticeable. the oil pan gasket (i think) has a slight leak, along with some gasket on the tranny. the power steering also has a slight leak, but all these leaks are not enough for me to worry about it, i just top the fluids off every couple months. the flywheel gear has a small flat spot, so every once and awhile it will grind when you try and start it, but almost always catches the 2nd try. i tightend the starter motor recently, so that doesnt happen much anymore. the windshield has 2 minor cracks that were stop drilled, so they are not getting any bigger. the seat has a warn spot on the driver's side. and the final thing i can think thats wrong is that one or 2 of the injector o rings are sucking air into the lines when the truck is shut off, so it is hard to start after sitting overnight. the air will collect in the filter, so when you start it, it will die or run rough when it hits the air bubble. all you have to do is crank it again and it will start. i have the o rings, so its just a matter of waiting till you can see a bit of fuel coming from the o ring and replacing it. new fuel filter, high pressure pump recently replaced (expensive). tires are pretty fresh. comes with a claron cd player and a set of 6 1/2 speakers that are very good quality, sound great. thats pretty much all i can think of, this truck will make a great track day truck, i have used it to take the dirt bikes to hollister many times, it will run forever. it is not uncommon for these engines to get 750,000 miles before needing a rebuild. im looking to get $2,500 for it, if nobody wants it then ill try ebay. thanks!
