10/22-29 where should I go?

I have taken a few days of at the end of next month and will be going on a ride. I'll be leaving on the 22nd and need to be back no later than the 29th. The only problem is I just cant decide where to go. I want to do death valley, but am a bit skeptical about doing that one alone. Anyone have any suggestions? I'm all ears. Thanks

There's so much down off 395, you just can't go wrong in the Eastern Sierras, either!

+1 on that!

Hit up all the nice mountain passes before winter sets in, maybe make a stop out at Bodie, Mono Lake, etc. Should be able to sort out a nice week-ish long run!
