    Moly

molybdenum disulfide oil, so any one out there, with several valve clearance checks and reshims under their belt, want to let me know what they think about oil/dry versus wet/grease in this application? Honda service manual says use oil, but in the process of looking for some I see a lot more...

    Palomares Road oops

/_LwZhKBFSow This was Saturday @07:30. Palomares Road pavement is great!, lotsa a new smooth clean roadway, apparently to much for this driver. I was able to run up and down before the tree trimmers started again. Looks like they’ve been at it for a week or so and probably another week or so to...

    Ahh! Now I remember...

I remember why I prefer sunrise rides to sunset rides. Don’t ask why the picture is sideways, I don’t know & can’t fix it! I had a great weekend including @200 miles on two wheels amongst the family stuff. Hope you all had a good one too!

I don't get it, I am reasonably tech savvy, can't get pictures to post!

Maybe the wrong place to post but I can't find the IT geek space. I had a great ride today and wanted to post pics, went through five tries of reducing file sizes and at under 100 KB still responds file to large. This happens half the time I try to post. Am I missing something obvious?

    Tourmaster Transition 4 Light Grey/Gun Metal 2xl

SOLD SOLD SOLD SOLD Stll fits but snugly. Really not my style. Wore it 3 times, like brand new other than some bug guts. I'll wipe them off when I get the chance. Cost me $280 on Revzilla, now $220, $170 for you. I'm in Livermore and am willing to meet up in your direction somewhere, schedule...

Horns work, so have a working horn!

Pucker moment from last evening. I was coming around a sweeping right turn, in the Livermore business district, passing 2nd as Holmes becomes 1st, lady pulls out of the driveway on my right, (Goodyear) moving perpendicular to the lanes, trying to cross the wide shoulder, two lanes and enter the...

Vintage Motorcycle Meet, Morgan Hill, 7/22

I was passing through Morgan Hill today on the way to Monterey and stopped at the Starbucks. This was on the bulliten board. Didn't know if this was common knowledge or not. After five tries I can't seem to get the photo to show up correctly. So, Morgan Hill parking garage off 4th street 7/22...

Mines Rd. was a poor ride this morning.

Duh! Winter! Days after several storms! Thought I'd have a look. Shoulda waited till later in the day. The road crews are doing a good job of clearing the rocks but lots & lots of dirt and gravel everywhere. I turned around after marker 20, @ 0900, because after two water crossings with ice I...

    Spam, troll, ads?

Saw a couple ads for Playstation and iPhones this morning from a user "damottecyril23" with a 2 post history. Is this spam? Is there a better more direct way to report this stuff? Never mind, figured it out.

    Junction is closed

The sign said closed because of water problems. It's still fun and gorgeous getting out there. A little cold in those shady canyons!

    Today's word is "Rocks"

Mines Rd., little rocky, leafy, just a heads up for people considering riding it today. I'm sure someone will miss that point and post, this is not unusual. Looks like some one cleaned up the boat hull and garbage @ mile marker 10, sometime in the last week, very nice.

WOW, Mines Rd is pretty bad N/B

I mean several turns full width dirt and gravel. Not much better S/B. All between mile markers 7-14. Worst @ 13-14. Once you cross the county line it's clear.

    Thanks?

https://youtu.be/zdIPKwa3GBY Is it to early to ask? What are you thankful for? I was trying to get an hour of sunny road before a rainy weekend. In my opinion I live in the best place on Earth to have grown up in, to raise my kids in, to work outside in, to play outside in, ocean to mountain...

How do YOU, cope with the low Sun in your eyes?

https://youtu.be/0E-Q-pzqGJM I'm sure there are several methods. I am interested in your, on the pavement, commuting, touring, whatever, sun moving up or down, methods. I am a weekend sunrise rider, maybe you can help me improve or change my methods.

    Broken odometer?

Needed to top off the tank for the weekend. Gas station is .14 miles from my house. Somehow, my odometer reads 22.4 miles. I must have blacked out. Some how this new picture ended up on my phone? Enjoy your weekend what ever you're doing!

    Mines road this morning 10/29

Looks great, 95% of dirt and gravel is between mile markers 9 & 14, coming from Livermore, worst parts around 13, If the sun comes out watch the wet spots in the corner shadows. Occasional branches and rocks but very clean considering. Temperature dropped considerably as I got closer to the...

    Calaveras Rd. recently?

Anybody been through on a weekend recently? I read it is closed 6am Mon.-11pm Fri., I wanted to make it part of a loop this weekend. I don't want to ride 1/3 down only to find it closed on weekends too.

    Shopping for helmet comm.

I currently use Sena, the guys I am starting to ride more with use Cardo. What is your experience? The people at RevZilla say Sena has faster processor, better speed & clarity, but I just use it for phone and music. The Cardo PackTalk for groups is a very nice feature. Have you had a Cardo...

    This was a test!

Success, my 919 was comfortable enough to do 500+ miles, in two days, with nothing more than the fly screen. I'm wearing a lot of insect parts, but my real concern was physical comfort. Was an awesome trip through Yosemite, less than 50 miles slabbing, ending with my return home across Del...
