The weather forecast for this weekend looks promising. I'll be busy on Saturday, but Sunday I'm thinking about heading our for a ride in the morning. I can't go too long, since I need to be up in SF in the afternoon, but is anyone interested in terrorizing the south bay on minis?

jj83 and I rode around a bit today in Los Gatos, to make sure my YSR is up to snuff for Sunday's group ride. JJ was on his GSA, so the juxtapostion had to be documented at Vasona Lake.

I'm thinking that I'd like to have a tach on my ysr. Looking at prices online, it would seem that tachs are nearly the same cost as getting a TT Vapor unit, and having speed, rpm, and cylinder head temp. Am I reading things wrong? What says the Mini Bikes Freak Jury? :ride

The rear shock on the YSR I just got is nowhere near up to the task of dealing with my bulk. Does anyone local have a shock that would work on this bike that will deal with 250-odd pound rider weights? If not, I'll be calling up the Squids at Team Calamari.

I bought the small version of the TurnTech battery (2.5 amp hours, 120 CCA), but it's not beefy enough to turn over the starter on my Lifan 120 motor. My loss is your gain, $80 takes it home.

The CT70 is back from getting de-rusted and painted a nice cream (think off-white) color. Before: After: Now it's time to start getting the neat bits to hang off the clean frame.
